On April 20th, 2004, all of the numbers of cellular phones in Israel have changed.
Cellphone numbers which were of the form 064-****** until that date, were changed to be of the form 052-4******, cellphone numbers which were of the form 050-****** until that date, were changed to of the form 050-5******, and so on.

PICPC (pronounced pic-pac) is a program designed to ease this transition for users of Palm™ Desktop Software in general and specifically for owners of Palm Powered™ handhelds. Tungsten E, Tungsten T3 and Zire 21 handhelds are currently not supported because their Palm™ Desktop Software stores address book data differently on the computer and since I don't have any of these, I can not analyze the way their address book data is stored.
The process is fairly simple: after performing a HotSync®, simply run PICPC which will update the phone numbers stored in the address book of your Palm™ Desktop Software (just follow the on-screen instructions and don't forget to backup the files the program tells you to back up!). After running the program and verifying that the change was successful, perform another HotSync® and the address book of your Palm Powered™ handheld will be updated.
The program was written by me, Yannai A. Gonczarowski, so you can thank me
:-)
If you find it useful and want to say "thank you" or if you have any
questions or comments, feel free to contact me.
You can download a ZIP file containing the program (it's just 199 kB) here: picpc.zip.
